Toxicology Testing
Most nanoparticles are custom designed and manufactured, as should be the toxicology portfolio. nanoTox creates a custom testing program designed to address your specific risk-assessment needs. nanoTox also provides detailed interpretation of the test results, rather than just provide raw data to clients as done by many contract and university laboratories. Results always are held in complete confidence to protect your intellectual property, as well as your company.
We custom design a series of test protocols as needed to meet the need and objective of each client, be it to support industrial hygiene recommendations, provide information as to the potential for hazards to environmental and human health, satisfy regulatory requirements for environmental protection, satisfy testing requirements of the FDA for food and food packaging, pharmaceutical development or cosmetics safety.
Our long experience with the regulatory requirements of the FDA, EPA, REACH, and similar regulators allows us to design highly effective test protocols that minimize overall time and expense of testing regimens. If toxicity issues are found in the results, our knowledge of nanomaterials will allow us to provide suggestions on ways to reduce or control the potential for harm.
nanoTox provides interpretation of testing results as opposed to just the raw data many contract laboratories.
All tests are performed in compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) as required by most regulatory agencies in the developed world.
The results are also presentable to insurers to satisfy their concerns about insuring nano-products and the workplaces that make the products, thus preventing cancellations of product liability and workman’s compensation insurance coverage.
